In a modern-day world where humans and supernatural creatures live together, the action/slice of life manga series "Daybreak," we follow our main protagonist, Jake Altan.In his recent move to the city Sonrisa, he has trouble setting his footing into his new environment. However, he is chosen by a magical relic; Primaluce, a sword which allows him to harness the Sun's arcane abilities.With his new found abilities, he finds purpose through helping others as the city's symbol of light and justice, Phoenix. He establishes a group of friends to rely on, establishing an indie rock band known as the "Genesis of Dreams."He tries to make an impact on the city by fighting against crime organizations, corruption, discrimination, and injustice... All eyes are now on him, whether for better... or worse...
